Another highly active week for Veslački klub Neretvanski Gusar. Our crews successfully tackled the Dubrovnik regatta, while club standouts Roko Mijić and Nika Cetina defended the club colours during national team preparations up north and on the coast.
Dalmatian Cup and national team preparations · Dubrovnik, Munich and Omišalj
🥉 Three bronze medals from the Dalmatian Cup in Dubrovnik
Our racing team returned from Dubrovnik with three valuable bronze medals. In strong competition among Dalmatian clubs, the following crews reached the podium:
- 🥉 Toni Jeramaz and Marko Dujmović — boys’ cadet A double sculls
- 🥉 Franko Petrov — boys’ cadet B single sculls
- 🥉 Matej Družijanić and Luka Rajič — junior B double sculls
Alongside the medal winners, the club was also proudly represented by Ivan Obradović, Petar Prskalo, Ana Šiljeg, Iva Šiljeg and Luka Antonio Klobučić, all of whom showed great fighting spirit on the water. Every appearance at the Dalmatian Cup is an important step in building experience for the championships ahead.
🇩🇪 Roko Mijić in preparations for Munich
Roko Mijić is currently training with the national selection squad. He is preparing for his appearance in Munich, on the legendary Olympic course in Oberschleißheim. This is the strongest junior regatta after the official championships, bringing together the very best of European rowing, and Roko’s call-up is proof of the outstanding work being done at our club.
🏖️ Nika Cetina at mini camp in Omišalj
While Roko is focused on classic rowing, Nika Cetina spent the weekend in Omišalj. There she took part in a mini camp for national team candidates in the Coastal Beach Sprint discipline. This dynamic discipline is becoming increasingly popular in rowing, and Nika’s commitment shows her versatility and readiness for new sporting challenges.
