Rowers of VK Neretvanski Gusar won two first places at the Tonći Skender Memorial, the 3rd Cup of the Dalmatian Rowing Federation in Makarska.

On Sunday, Makarska hosted the Tonći Skender Memorial, the 3rd Cup of the Dalmatian Rowing Federation. As usual, we also brought our rowing school to this regatta, although some of our regatta rowers did not compete this time. During the weekend, Roko Mijić was also absent, as he attended preparations with his national selection squad in Zagreb.
VK Neretvanski Gusar competed with six crews and delivered several valuable results. The regatta was held in beautiful weather, which added to the excellent sporting atmosphere in Makarska.

- 🥇 Ivan Obradović and Toma Mijić — boys’ cadet B double sculls — 1st place
- 🥇 Luka Rajič and Matej Družijanić — junior B double sculls — 1st place
- 🚣 Franko Petrov — boys’ cadet B single sculls — 5th place
- 🚣 Toni Jeramaz and Marko Dujmović — boys’ cadet A double sculls — 4th place
- 🚣 Petar Prskalo and Marko Vukadinović — boys’ cadet A double sculls — 6th place
- 🚣 Iva Šiljeg and Iva Dominiković — junior B girls’ double sculls — 7th place
Two gold medals as proof of strong work
The most valuable results for our club came from two crews that won their events. Ivan Obradović and Toma Mijić were the fastest in the boys’ cadet B double sculls, while Luka Rajič and Matej Družijanić won the junior B double sculls.
A fighting race and valuable experience
Special mention should also go to the very good, exciting and determined race by Toni Jeramaz and Marko Dujmović in the cadet A double sculls. Their performance showed clear potential and announced even better results in the regattas ahead. Franko Petrov also raced in the boys’ cadet B single sculls, while Iva Šiljeg and Iva Dominiković competed in the junior B girls’ double sculls. Petar Prskalo and Marko Vukadinović also added another valuable performance in the cadet A category.

Coach Antonio Crnčević and club president Mato Glavinić were with the team in Makarska.
The 4th regatta of the Dalmatian Rowing Federation will be held in Dubrovnik on 3 May 2026. 💪
